Il Mulino in Sassenberg

We were looking forward to a great pizza. Unfortunately we have been waiting for our pizza since 7.15pm, now it's 9.15pm. We don't know whether the pizza will get it. The service is nice, is probably left hanging from the kitchen (despite our requests). It's a shame - we wish our neighboring table a good appetite!

We love Il Mulino! The pizzas are great and the pasta dishes and starters are also very good. The owners are also warm and we have always felt comfortable there. We are VERY sad that they are closing! Anyone who doesn't know the restaurant yet should definitely stop by again.

The pizza was very good, unfortunately it took almost 1.5 hours to get it. The staff seemed overwhelmed to me, even though it was anything but full. Guests who came much later like us had already eaten and paid, while we still had to wait. 20 minutes after the 2nd drink order, I had to point out again that I was still waiting for the drink. We sat at our table at 7 p.m. and were finally released with the bill at 9:15 p.m.

Definitely a high standard restaurant. Familiar and welcoming atmosphere. If you are looking for real Italian cuisine in Germany, this is the only real restaurant with beautiful country cuisine. Unfortunately in Germany our homegrown cuisine is sold as something else, and even those who work there in these places have no idea what it is to eat tricolor. The friendly owners, including Sabrina who is above all a top-level chef and pizza maker, will delight you with typical Neapolitan pizzas, and first courses of the highest level. Great quality pizza for a reasonable price. The service was very nice and they managed to communicate in English pretty well for a local restaurant in Sassenberg so we felt welcomed as foreign visitors.

Best pizza and delicious lasagna! We ate bruschetta as a starter. The main course was pizza with chic tomatoes and arugula. Also lasagna - all 3 dishes were excellent. I can partly not understand these 1 star ratings. In my opinion it is not justified. The food was tasty and was also professionally prepared. Definitely nothing out of the bag! Finally, a pizza that has been properly topped up (not like others where the topping comes in the oven and burns). It is fitting that lettuce, tomatoes and ham do not float in fat and are still firm to the bite. I will be happy to come back and try many more dishes. The service staff is young, sometimes very good, friendly and characterized by specialist knowledge. A colleague does not come from the area and still needs a little time to learn all the tricks and processes. But don't worry, I don't see it critically - everyone has to learn something first. You have to plan a waiting time of 1 1/2 hours for two simple pizzas. Unfortunately, it was the second time. Guests who come later receive the food much earlier. When asked where the food stayed there was no feedback. Only the second time asked that the pizzas are now in the oven. Unfortunately, the pizzas weren't particularly tasty either.

The pizza has a thin bottom and yet a crispy edge. The Bruchetta is also recommended. There are parking spaces right in front of the door. No disabled toilets. All in all a nice little restaurant on the beautiful market square of Sassenberg. II Mulino is recommended.

Great food. Prices on the map are more expensive than shown in the online menu. (Despite VAT reduction / savings will not be passed on to the guest) Employees overwhelmed and inexperienced.

Definitely better in the past. Maybe I have to order again with Italian names? Do not know where the award and the good reviews come from, but there are definitely better pizzas, also in the area (eg in Sendenhorst). Pizza was completely burned from below, the topping doesn't taste good anymore. Pizzas weren't cut either, although they asked for it. You would like to support in times of Corona, but I prefer to make the pizzas myself according to a family recipe. Sorry, but I think I will not go from waf to Sassenberg again to spend money on such a service and pizza.

Super delicious pizza! Edge nice thick as I like it best. Same with the noodle! Service very friendly and helpful. I like to eat here again and again :)

The real Italian pizza! Difficult to find pizza so original. In Germany many are used to a more "bastard" pizza, but if you want to taste Italian flavors, this is the right place!
